In consonance with the ethos of Go Digit Health Insurance, the policy aims not only to protect the policyholder from the unforeseen medical emergency but also provides a cushion to absorb the high healthcare cost and lessen the financial burden arising out of it.   • Zone Upgrade: Co-pay will be applicable if the residence and treating hospitals are different cities. Three Zones A, B, and C have been defined for the purpose. The rate of Copayment applied in multiple combinations is between 10% and 20%.

Go Digit Arogya Sanjeevani Policy

Considering the multiplicity of health insurers churning a range of health insurance plans in India, customers experience enormous confusion while selecting suitable health insurance policy in harmony with individual requirements. The Insurance regulator, IRDAI designed a standard template for health insurance plans for rolling out by all the non-life insurers, operating in India. Accordingly, all insurers have complied with the stipulation, and the plan has been offered for sale throughout the country from 1st April 2020. It is unique for the fact that the features are uniform across the country, at an affordable cost. The salient highlights of the health insurance policy are:

  • Sum insured is in the range of minimum Rs 1 lakh and maximum Rs 5 lakh.
  • The premium can be paid in Half-yearly, Quarterly or Monthly instalments.
  • Persons between 18 and 65 years of age are eligible to apply for this health insurance plan.
  • The policy term is fixed at 1 year.
  • Self, Spouse, Dependent children between 3 months to 25 years, Parents, Parents-in-Law are considered to have an insurable interest in Family Floater plan options.
  • Individual policy option accommodates up to 8 insurable persons in a single policy.
  • Room rent entitlement in the policy is limited to 2% of sum insured with a cap of Rs 5000 per day.
  • ICU charge is 5% of the sum insured with a cap of Rs 10000 per day.
  • Inpatient Hospital and Daycare treatment are covered for the full amount of sum insured.
  • Pre and Post Hospitalization cover is restricted to 30 and 60 days respectively, to the extent of the sum insured.
  • Ambulance expenses to a maximum of Rs 2000 per hospitalization.
  • Ayush treatment is covered for the full amount of sum insured.
  • Cataract treatment is limited to 25% of sum insured with a cap of Rs 40000.
  • Dental and Plastic Surgery procedures are admissible, provided they are the outcome of disease or injury.
  • Pre policy medical test is compulsory, if the policyholder is 61 years and above in age.
  • Cumulative Bonus for every claim-free year redeemed at 5% at each renewal till 50% of the sum insured is reached.
  • Co-payment of 5% for all medical expenses is mandatory.
  • Modern treatment methods and use of advanced technology entails loss-sharing up to 50% of the sum insured.

However, the policy doesn’t offer coverage for hospitalization merely for investigation, evaluation, rest, convalescence and recuperation, Bariatric Surgical treatment for obesity etc.

Go Digit health insurance offers two claim processes, cashless and reimbursement. The claim steps are as mentioned below:

Cashless Claim

Cashless claims can be availed at network hospitals only. The insured has to product the e-health card of Go Digit at the reception to cashless request. The further formalities will be done through the TPA at the hospital desk, starting form filling up the pre-authorisation letter to submit to the insurance company. On approval, the cashless treatment can be availed, where the hospital bills are to be settled directly by the insurer.

Reimbursement Claim

When treatment is availed from a non-network hospital, the insured has to pay the bills initially and register a claim later. The insurer has to be informed within a specific days of window. The claim form has to be submitted along with the relevant documents such as medical report, discharge summery, bills and receipts etc. Upon verification, the insurer settles the claim up to an admissible amount, paying through NEFT.
