Future Health Suraksha Plan Mediclaim policy-The Health Total

A child is eligible for this policy from the very first day of born . And it has no maximum age limit. Children below the age 18 years of age don’t require medical tests under any plan. The minimum term for this health insurance plan is 1 year and maximum is 3 years. The maximum sum insured here is 1 crore.

Special Features:

It offers three options: - Vital, Superior, and Premier.

Medical Test:

  • Vital Plan - Test not required up to 50 years of age, a test is required above 50
  • Superior Plan - Medical tests required from 18 years of age
  • Premier Plans - Medical tests required from 18 years of age

Personal Accident Insurance Policy

Anyone in the age range of 18- 70 can apply for this health insurance plan.

And children in the age range of 3-25 can apply as dependents. The sum insured depends on the monthly income. The policy term can be availed as 1 to 3 years

  • Floater benefit: It lets you cover your entire family in a single plan

Critical Illness Cover 

This policy comes with the following eligibility criteria

  • Minimum entry age for adults – 18 years
  • Maximum entry age for adults - 65 years
  • Minimum entry age for children - 6 years
  • Maximum entry age for children – 25 years

A Sum Insured of Rs 1 – 50 lakh is available. The policy also offered a grace period of 30 days.

Special Features:

Lump-sum benefit: This is available after three months of taking the policy. The claimant should have survived four weeks after diagnosis. Your Future Criticare covers the following instances:

  • Cancer: Of specified severity
  • Kidney failure that requires regular dialysis

Top-up health insurance plan

The eligibility to avail this policy includes:

  • Entry age for adults: 18-65 with lifetime renewability
  • Entry age for children: 3 months to 25 if parents are insured with Future Generali.

The sum insured and deductible depends on the plan one chooses ranging from 3 - 5 lakh. Reimbursement of 50% of test charges if the individual has opted for any policy. Policy Term is 1 year.

Special Features:

  • Hospitalization: Not exceeding the sum insured
  • In-patient expenses: Room, board, and nursing expenses for a minimum period of 24 hours, Medicines, X-ray, diagnostic materials, OT charges, consultant fee, specialist fees, etc.

Future Advantage Top-up Plan

The minimum entry age is day 1 to 25 years for the children. Adults can be added from 18 years.

Future Corona Kavach Policy

This policy is introduced by IRDAI to deal with the outbreak of COVID-19. Some of the salient features of this policy include:

  • This policy can be availed on an individual basis and for family members which provides a lump-sum payment if the policyholder is diagnosed and hospitalized in purview of COVID – 19 pandemic.
  • The policy can be availed for Spouse, Dependent children, Parents and Parents-in-law.
  • Eligibility – Minimum Age – 18 years and Maximum Age – 65 years
  • Sum Insured - Sum Insured options available in the range of Rs 50000, Rs 1 Lakh, Rs 1.5 Lakh, Rs 2 Lakh and Rs 2.5 Lakh.
  • Tenure of the Policy - Three and half months or 105 days, Six and half months or 195 days and Nine and half months or 285 days.
  • Renewal – Not Applicable
  • Medical Screening – Not Applicable
  • Coverage - Lump sum benefit of 100% of the Sum Insured will be payable to the insured if he is tested positive in the diagnosis of COVID, and he requires hospitalization for the same for a minimum period in continuity of 72 hours. diagnosis of Corona or COVID should be done from a diagnostic centre, which is government authorized.
  • Waiting Period – A minimum waiting period of 15 days is applicable in this case, if the policyholder contracts COVID within this time period, the policy will not be in force and no claim will be entertained by the insurer.

Future Generali AarogyaBima Insurance Plan 

The policy is designed for the age group between 18 years and maximum 70 years. Children can be added from day 1 to 18 years. Above 50 years of age, medical screening is compulsory. The coverage of Rs 2.3.and 5 lakh is available.

  • Co-payment is available on hospital bills and medical receipts except for in, pre, and post-hospitalization
  • No Loading charges are levied.

Future VarishtaBima Health Insurance Plan

The policy is available for person with the age minimum-60 years, There is no maximum entry age.

Exclusion under Future Generali Health Insurance

Below mentioned are the medical expenses that are excluded from the terms and conditions of Future Generali Health Insurance Policy:

  • Pre-existing medical illnesses with a waiting period of 48 months not covered within the timespan.
  • Some other diseases having a waiting period of 24 months like hernia, hydrocele etc.
  • Any cosmetology, plastic surgery or non-allopathic treatments will not be covered under the medical insurance.
  • Maternity, New-born and fertility treatments not covered under most of the plans.
  • Self-inflicted injury, suicide attempt, self-harm or psychiatric treatment not covered.
  • Sexually transmitted diseases like AIDS, HIV etc. are not covered.
  • Hospitalization outside India is not covered.

Claim Procedure of Future Generali Health Insurance

Claims can be made in both ways – Cashless claims will be entertained if the medical expenditure is done through one of their network hospitals. Reimbursement claims - for any other hospital, a reimbursement can be filed for the medical expense done by the policyholder.

Claim procedure is quite swift and convenient, provided the necessary documentation and properly filled forms, and submitted to the health insurance company on time.

Steps to Follow

The following steps are to be followed to claim Future Generali Health Insurance policy:

  • Step 1- A pre-authorization form should be filled and submitted within 24 hours in case of an emergency hospitalization or within 3-4 days before a planned hospitalization, to avail cashless facility.
  • Step 2 - Based on the form, the cashless claim will be verified and approved by the insurance company after retrieving relevant documents and medical bills from the hospital.
  • Step 3 – The cashless claim will be directly settled by the insurer.

In case of Reimbursement claims, the policyholder will have to initially bear the costs himself.

  • Step 1 - Once discharged, the inured should fill the claim form and submit the documents and bills of medical expenses incurred.
  • Step 2 – After appropriate scrutiny, verification and approval of the documents provided, the insurer will give a refund for the medical expenses incurred.
