Part A - Group Personal Accident Insurance Plan

The policy offers insurance coverage for basic emergencies like AD - Accidental Death, PTD - Permanent Total Disability, PPD - Permanent Partial Disability (PPD), and TTD - Temporary Total Disability (TTD). Other combinations that can be availed under the same emergencies.

Part B - Group Critical Illness

It provides a wide range of coverages that can be opted by the policyholder as per his needs and requirements. A lump-sum amount is provided at the diagnoses of a Critical Illness that is covered during the tenure of the policy and survival benefit for a minimum of thirty days.

ManipalCigna Lifestyle Protection Group Policy: Waiting/Survival Period

  • Waiting period is not applicable for Group Personal Accident Plan (basic)
  • For Basic Group Critical Illness - first ninety days waiting period is applicable and survival period of 30 days.

Eligibility Criteria of the ManipalCigna Lifestyle Protection Group Policy

The eligibility criteria fall around:

  • This cover is available to all Employer-Employee and Non-Employer groups.
  • Cover Type is on an individual basis only.
  • Min Age: of Entry: 18 years and Max-Age of Entry: 75 Years
  • Age Groups defined (Min and Max)
  • Lawfully Wedded Spouse
  • Dependent Parents or parents-in-law, Dependent Children, Siblings, and Grand Children
  • Group Personal Accident (For students - the minimum entry age is 3 to 18 years

For renewal of the ManipalCigna Lifestyle Protection Group Plan, 30-days grace period from the expiry date of the policy is permissible. All previous dues and a fresh renewal of the policy needs to be done which can be easily processed online by submitting necessary personal details and the previous policy number and making the necessary payments towards the renewal; the policy will be considered as continuous for the waiting period. In case of non-renewal of the policy within 30 days of the grace period, the policy will stand as a lapsed or terminated policy, and a fresh policy will have to be issued in the name of the policyholder.
