Exclusions of Reliance Critical Illness Insurance Plan
The policy becomes null and void when it comes to covering the following conditions:
- Any type of pre-existing illnesses, diseases, or injuries
- Any breach of law or involvement in an actual or attempted riot, felony, misdemeanor, crime, civil commotion, war, nuclear weapons or terrorism
- Alcohol consumption, tobacco intake, drug abuse, and smoking
- Critical illness which is diagnosed or contracted within 3 months from the date of commencement of the policy
- Childbirth or pregnancy
- Cases in which death of the policyholder occurs within 30 days from the date of the diagnosis or surgery
- Cosmetic or sex-change treatment/surgery

- Diagnosis is not scientifically recognised

Waiting Period under Reliance Critical Illness Insurance Plan
Reliance Critical Illness Insurance Plan has a waiting period in which if any diseases contracted or diagnosed within 90 days from the date of commencement of the policy through signs and symptoms will not be considered eligible for the claim. Any critical diseases diagnosed after 90 days will be considered eligible for a claim.

Claim Process of the Reliance Critical Illness Insurance Policy
The policy can be claimed for availing cashless and reimbursement benefits. For the cashless claim, the steps are mentioned below:
- To initiate the claim process, which is cashless go to the insurer’s website or directly contact to their customer care team. Make sure to inform the insurance provider with 7 days before hospitalisation for a particular treatment if pre-planned. In case of emergency or accidental hospitalization, make sure to the intimate insurer within 24 hours of hospitalisation.
- After getting admitted, ensure to show the required documents to the helpdesk of the hospital - ID proof of the policyholder, other important documents for availing cashless treatment and health card provided by the insurer.
