Health insurance can be claimed for cashless and reimbursement

Cashless Claim

If the policyholder gets hospitalized in one of the network hospitals as specified by the insurer, it becomes a cashless claim and is processed directly by the insurance company.

Reimbursement Claim

In this case, the insured pays for all the hospitalization and medical expenses, and after submission of all relevant documents, the same amount as per the sum insured is reimbursed to the insured by the insurer.

    Ans: Since the time period of the previous policy's lapse has been long overdue, a fresh policy will have to be purchased by the policyholder, and he/she will not be able to extend or renew the same policy.
