Sum Insured Restoration– According to Royal Sundaram Lifeline Individual Plans, in case the sum insured is exhausted during the policy period, the proposer is eligible for the restoration of the entire sum insured once in a year.

In the case of Royal Sundaram Lifeline Family Floater Policy, the restoration will be done as per family floater policy coverage.

Tax Benefits – Benefits of tax deduction are offered under all health insurance plans under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Maternity Coverage – This is exclusively a part of Royal Sundaram Lifeline Family Floater Plan.

If the insured and the spouse are included in this plan, maternity benefits are provided after 36 months of policy coverage. This is permitted twice during the policy period.

Exclusions of Royal Sundaram Lifeline-Individual & Family Floater Plans

  • During the first 30 days, only accidents are exempted from exclusions.
  • Any critical illness being diagnosed during the first 90 days is not covered.

 According to Royal Sundaram Lifeline – Individual and Family Floater Plans, policy claims follow two methods – cashless and reimbursement.

  • Cashless claim – Network hospital, settled by a third-party administrator (TPA).
  • Contact the TPA and provide a health insurance plan, policy ID, and the insured details 72 hours before planned hospitalization, and within 48 hours of emergency admission.
  • Fill up the pre-authorization form regarding medical records and policy coverage as required.
  • The claim for payment of hospital expenses is subject to terms and conditions. Acceptance of request is conveyed to the hospital.
  • Reimbursement claim – Non-network hospital, settled directly by the insurance provider.
